Green Rebellion?

In the 2019 local elections the local Green Party chose an interesting image for their election campaign:

The image was likely plagiarized from the Exeter branch of Extinction Rebellion and whilst this clearly shows an affiliation with them, it also bears a rather disturbing relationship to a very sinister image from the past:

The image has not been used since but it does give cause to question the thinking of the people behind Extinction Rebellion and the unthinking willingness of the Green Party to adopt their dogma and symbols.
